Electronic Air Cleaners Scrub the Air in Your Home

Electronic air cleaners offer a very efficient way to essentially take your indoor air and scrub it clean of all the miniscule bits of junk that tend to hang and cling in the air of your home.

Almost like sweeping a magnet through the air, these air purifiers attract, collect and contain all kinds of pollutants such as tobacco smoke, allergens, dust mites and dust mite feces, pet dander, mold and much more.

Microscopic particles by the millions are able to be collected and removed from the indoor atmosphere as the air passes through the home air purifier. At that time, when the air passes through the device, the largest particles are caught in the screen of the pre-filter and the smaller particles then move on to the next section where they receive an electrical charge by ionization.

Once these tiny particles are charged, they then pass on to the collection unit where they are attracted electronically to a series of charged collector plates. The particulates are essentially stuck to these collection plates until they are washed clean during regular maintenance.

It has been estimated that electronic air cleaners are up to 20 times more effective than standard air purifiers that use filters only. This is because a standard HEPA unit will filter 99.97% of the particles in the air and while that seems to be almost perfect, it still does allow for the tiniest of particles to remain in the air. Over time an abundance of the tiniest of particulates can still accumulate to cause health concerns.

Because all of the particles, no matter how small, are charged and collected through the process employed by the electronic purifiers, they are removed from the air you breath and do not have the opportunity to build into a problem situation.

Many of these types of room air purifiers additionally have carbon filters integrated into the units which are useful for removing odors such a tobacco smoke, cooking odors and the like.

Electronic air cleaners can be found in many different makes and models and they also encompass many price ranges. There are small, stand-alone units that would be appropriate for one or two rooms, medium stand-alone units that would be sufficient for small to medium size homes, and large units that are installed into the forced air system of the home, allowing for air purification throughout the home.

Because we now spend so much of our daily lives indoors -- up to 90% for most people by some estimates, it is even more important to have the environment where we live and breathe be as clean as possible. Over time, the common products that we use on a daily basis, such as aerosols, cleaners and sprays, become trapped in our modern, airtight homes and can build up to toxic levels. In addition, the ordinary pollutants that can also build up such as molds, pollen and other allergens, it is clear that it is imperative to take steps to cleanse and purify the air in your home. Home air purifiers will ensure clean air for the health and well-being of you and your family.

Because the air inside your house can be up to twenty times as polluted as the air that is in the great outdoors, this is contributing to increased cases of asthma, allergies and other airborne types of disease. Electronic air cleaners are effective in cleaning up the indoor pollutants which can help to improve your health.

Today's Tip On Air Purifiers

The fact is that allergens, contaminants and toxins are being trapped inside your home. Because most Americans now spend upwards of 90 percent of they day locked inside homes and offices, there has never been a greater need for good, effective air cleaners. To help protect and restore health, the HEPA air cleaners are among those favored by experts.
